The size and scale of the BBC Children in Need Appeal means that we're able to give grants to hundreds of different organisations, some of which are very small and don't have the resources to fundraise for themselves. The money raised by the 2006 Appeal has been distributed to 1,350 different organisations working with children and young people who may have any kind of disability, behavioural or psychological disorders; experienced poverty or situations of deprivation; or suffered through illness, distress, abuse or neglect. How to apply for a grant If you are a properly constituted, not-for-profit organisation based in the UK needing funds to help with a project that aims to improve the lives of children and young people suffering disadvantage you may be able to apply for a grant. There are three ways to do this: 1. Online 2. Print off and complete the application form and return by post 3. Email us to request an application pack to be sent to you We usually require you to submit some extra information in addition to the completed application form. Please ensure that whichever method of the three above you choose, you complete all documents in this way where possible, and send all the necessary documentation to us as part of your application.

Online applications: online applications must be submitted by midnight on 30 March 2008. The paper copies of the application and supporting documents must reach the relevant BBC Children in Need office no later than two working days after this date. Postal applications: application forms and supporting materials must arrive at BBC Children in Need by on 30 March 2008.
