Time and date:
09:00–17:00, March 11, 2008
Location:
Sheffield
Description:

11 March Sheffield

Broadband co-operatives can be surprisingly easy to set up, and can be a useful source of revenue for a community or social enterprise.

The added benefits can be increased community pride and identity, a confidence in co-operative working and a contribution to the community economy. Oh yes, and it can deliver low cost (even free!) broadband at high quality and fast speeds to local residents and businesses.

Woodhouse Social Enterprise and Social Enterprise Europe Ltd are running a day workshop on social enterprise with a particular focus on how to set broadband co-operatives.

For more information and an application form please contact Kathryn Taylor Community Development Officer - Woodhouse The Lodge Connexions Centre Church Lane Hackenthorpe Sheffield S12 4AN Mobile - 07875134255 Office - 0114 2485805
