Writing effective bids to tight deadlines takes a lot of skill. If you have to produce bids or project proposals under pressure, this workshop is for you.

Aims of the workshop

Participants will get an understanding of:

• The structure of a project proposal.

• How funders want the information presented and what they are looking for.

• How to put a budget together.

• Funders’ requirements and procedures prior to submission.

• The monitoring process

Content

This course will explain general principles of bid writing, from having an idea to submitting the final proposal to any funder.

We will talk about:

• the approach;

• knowing your funder;

• organising your project;

• writing style;

• preparing budgets.
